About Us

Who We Are

ONE CHURCH. RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE.

Chris Trethewey

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

My name is Chris and I have the privilege of being the Lead Pastor at Tri County Church. I am married to Kim and we have two passionate and energetic daughters - Kiara and Claire. As a family we love to watch movies, which includes eating popcorn and M&M’s, and go on epic adventures together.

Over my church leadership journey, I have lived in Las Vegas, NYC, and Fort Lauderdale area. God has opened incredible opportunities to link arms with passionate leaders and vision-oriented churches around the globe. When we came to Tri County Church, it was an experience like no-other. The concise way of articulating our experience is that God was saying, “Welcome Home!”

Tri County church is not a perfect church. It is a church, a gathering of people, that genuinely desires to journey together. It is a church that says to all people - from all walks of life - with vastly different backgrounds - “Welcome Home!”

I hope that you take a step and check out one of our campuses. I truly believe that if you do, you will feel at home. I encourage you to plan a visit so that we can help make your first experience at TCC amazing. Also, TCC is not like your typical church. So make sure you check out “What to expect” below.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL SERVICE LOOK LIKE?

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

Come as you are! People come wearing everything from t-shirts to bow ties. You might even notice a few Steelers jerseys. Someone once wore a Cowboys jersey, but we aren’t too sure what happened to him.

What's available for my kids during the service?

At TCC we think kids are amazing and we want to come along side you to fuel a passion for God in their lives . KidsRock (Birth - 5th grade) provides fantastic environments during weekend services that aim to be the highlight of your child's week. For teens, we offer Velocity, a group experience that provides middle and high school students a place to hang out and connects them with caring adults that can speak into their lives.

How long will the service last?

Our worship service lasts approximately 1 hour.

GOD IS . . .

the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1,26-27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ Is...

the Son of God and is coequal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13

The Holy Spirit Is...

coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides Christians with the power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. We seek to live under His control daily.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18

The Bible Is...

God’s Word to all people, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; 12:6, Proverbs 30:5

Humanity Is...

made in the spiritual image of God to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, everyone is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

Salvation Is...

by grace, through faith. It is a gift from God to all people. We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. We are saved from sin’s penalty by trusting in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice as God’s offer of forgiveness. We express our faith publicly through baptism.
Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1

The Church Is...

the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world.
1 Corinthians 12:27; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:10; Ephesians 4:11-14; Acts 2:38

Eternity Is...

how long we were created to exist with God. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
John 3:16, 14:17; Romans 6:23, 8:17-18; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9; 1 John 2:25, 5:11-13; Revelation 20:15
